General conditions
Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark (RHC)
1. the reservation
1.1 you can make a reservation for a cabin by telephone
+47 3509 6353 from 08.30 AM - 21.00 PM, or send an e-
mail to post@rjukanhytte.com
.
2. terms of payment
2.1 if you make a reservation for a cabin you receive a confirmation
incl. information about payment. We ask a down
payment of 60% of the total sum
2.2 the down payment is due 6 weeks before arrival, into the
Norwegian bank account of Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark AS.
2.3 the remainder of the total sum will be paid on arrival at
the camping site in cash (NOK), by credit card or by bankcard
3. the accommodation
3.1 unless agreed otherwise, you can stay in your accommodation until 11.00AM
3.2 after 11:00AM we charge another night lodging
3.3 cleaning of the cabin is not included in the price
3.4 cabins ought to be left clean and tidy
3.5 dish washing must be done
3.6 waste has to be deposited in one of the dustbins you’ll find on the camping site
(we recycle)
3.7 if the cabin is not cleaned we charge NOK 250 for cleaning of the smaller
cabins (without toilet/shower) and NOK 350 for the “chalets” with toilet/shower.
3.8 final-cleaning can be ordered for NOK 250 for the smaller cabins (without
toilet/shower) and NOK 350 for the “chalets” with toilet/shower.
3.9 if you order final-clean the cabin must be left tidy, the dish washing must be
done and the waste has to be deposited in one of the dustbins you’ll find on the
camping site (we recycle)
3.10 if there is a problem or if something is missing in your cabin/chalet, you need
to inform Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark on the arrival day.
4. the camping site
3.1 unless agreed otherwise, the pitch should be left,
clean and tidy by 12:00AM
3.2 after 12:00AM we charge another night lodging
5. cancellation
Before the beginning of your stay, you can cancel the agreement
giving reason in writing to Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark.
The cancellation is considered valid after you have received a
confirmation regarding your cancellation from Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark.
The following cancellation costs will be charged by Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark:
5.1 for cancellations up to 14 days before the beginning of your stay: 100% of the
total amount.
5.2. in case of no arrival and cancellation on arrival date: 100% of the total amount
5.3. reserved services or days which you don't use will not be paid back
6. cancellation by Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark
Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark can terminate the agreement if:
6.1 you mismanage or neglect the cabin or pitch,
or disturb public law and order. In such cases Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark
has the right to compensation, in addition to the rent and deposit, amounting
to the total expenses or damage.
6.2 unforeseen events make the booked cabin uninhabitable Rjukan Hytte- og
Caravanpark will do the utmost within its power to find the best alternate
accommodation. You shall pay the same price, or less, if the alternate
accommodation has a lower price than the originally booked.
7. force majeur
If the stay cannot take place due to force majeure
(e.g. war, labor strikes, lockouts, rationing of petroleum
products, closure of boarders, epidemics, natural
catastrophes or contamination catastrophes etc.),
both Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark and the lessee
may cancel the agreement.
If the agreement is cancelled by the lessee
Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark has the right to charge
cancellation costs according to point 5.
8. responsibility
8.1 Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark cannot be held
responsible for any damage to properties of our guests
8.2 Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark cannot be held

8.3 damage to the campsite or the cabins will be
concluded according to the regulations and law in force
