Iceclimbing festival 27-29 February. 
A great happening for iceclimbers from all over the world. Night climbing in the spotlight, several competitions, also speedclimbing and a multi media show with Will Gadd.

Opening of a exhibiton "Oslo Arbeidersamfunns kunstsamling" in the Vemork Museum at Rjukan. With the works of various norwegian painters, sculptures, etc.

June
12 - 13 june: for the 25th time a two-day bike ride, the "Telemark-Tour" is organised. Starts in Skien with an overnigt stay in Rjukan. Return to Skien the next day. The ride is a total length of 375 km.

Local market at Rauland. Auction, rummage sale, entertainment and lottery with prizes at Rauland School.

Arts and crafts festival at Rauland. Exhibition and concerts in connection with the end of the school year at the Rauland folk culture department at the Telemark College.
